2016 Schedule In Place

January 2, 2016

Linda's Speedway released their 2016 schedule today and it is slated to start with a bang and continue with an exciting season. Practice day has been switched to a Friday night prior to the start of the season to give drivers and crews the opportunity to get a speedway surface that will be similar to that in which they will be using on a Friday night throughout the year. The speedway will kick off on April fool's day, April 1, with the annual Steve Buch Memorial race featurin...g the 270 Micro Sprints, Winged 600 Micro Sprints, 125 Micro Sprints, and Slingshots. The event will kick off the points racing for each class.

A little later in the month of April the speedway will host a slew of star drivers in a showcase weekend of small car racing. The first Starrcade event will pull drivers from the Speedstr class, Wingless 600 Micro Sprints, Slingshots, and Chargers on Thursday night in an Action Track Take Over night while racing will pick right back up on Friday night with the ARDC Midgets, 270 Micro Sprints, and Xcel 600 Modifieds. Weekend deals along with more information will be available soon.

April will close out in a different way than seasons past. Earman Fulk, the builder of Linda's Speedway, will be honored on his birthday, April 29th, with the memorial run in his name. 270 Micro Sprints, Wingless 600 Micro Sprints will be joined by Chargers and the first race of the season for the Central Pa Legends at the track.

Some other news things to look for at Linda's Speedway for 2016 will be a new 3rd and 4th turn and back stretch wall. The Speedway will implement a three-week handicapping average for the Wingless 600 Micro Sprints starting in the new season. There will also be several Speedstr and ARDC Midget races including the conclusion of Pennsylvania ARDC Midget week and a Labor Day special event for the Speedstrs.
