Alex Swift made a rare Linda’s Speedway start in the Mt Gretna Roller Rink 270 Micro Sprint well worth while taking the checkered flag. Swift made the pass of race long leader Mike Rutherford in lap traffic on his way to his first win of the season. Brandon Heist drove to second with Rutherford finishing out the top three. Brian Heist was fourth followed by Scott Gingrich.
Scott Gingrich and Mike Boyer were the heat race winners.
The Central PA Legends made their second start of 2021 season, but Travis McClelland was still the driver standing in victory lane when the race came to an end. McClelland held off Legend veterans Scott Houdenshell and Blaine Leppo for the checkered flag. Former 4 cyl racers at Linda’s Speedway Don Stoudt and Aaron Updegraff were the top five finishers.
Travis McClelland, Choya Young, and Chris Transeau won Legend car heat races.
Seth Schnoke took a late race restart opportunity to go by the defending NSS Property Services Modified champion Sam Scicchitano for his first Linda’s Speedway win. Ty Hoke complete the top three finishers. Riley Hummel and Eric Whitby were the top five finishers in the main event.
Logan Rumsey, Sam Scicchitano, and Riley Hummel saw checkered flags in the Modified heat races. Joe Carter win the Modified consolation.
Dale Kreiser continued his winning way into 2021 by taking the checkered flag to start the nights racing with the make up Charger feature from June 18 that was rained out. Kreiser led the whole way taking the checkered flag over Ed Hollenbach, Shane Flaherty, Chucky Kimmel, and Troy Hostetter.
Chucky Kimmel jumped out front early in the regular scheduled Charger feature race and led until the checkered flag flew. Kimmel led teammates Troy Hostetter and Dale Kreiser across the line. Chris Smith finished fourth followed by Josh Michael.
Dale Kresier, Chucky Kimmel, and Troy Hostetter won the heat races for the Chargers. Cheyenne Kreiser won the consolation event.
Jason Dunkleberger took the win in the Sharp Mini Late Model feature. Dunkleberger bested Trey White and Tucker Gordner on the podium. Dustin Dunkleberger and Chris White rounded out the top five finishers.
Linda’s Speedway will be racing next Friday and Saturday as part of a big July 4th weekend race with Richie Hartman Promotions. Friday night, July 2 will be the 270 Micro Sprints and Modifieds plus the Winged 600 Micro Sprints. Saturday will see racing from the 270 Micro Sprints, Modifieds, 125 Micro Sprints, plus the Wingless 600 Micro Sprints.
Both 600 Micro Sprint races will pay $1,000 to the winner. Saturday night the 270 Micro Sprints will pay $1,000 to win.
Pit gates open at 5 and grandstands open at 5:30. Practice starts at 7 followed by racing on Friday night. Saturday gates will open at 4 with practice at 6 and racing to follow.
