Souder cashes in on night 1 of Richie Hartman Promotions event
Richie Hartman Promotions held a two event weekend at Linda’s Speedwah that was challenged by rain right away Friday afternoon.
When racing took the green flag the Hoosier Tire Hyper Racing winged 600 Micro Sprints took center stage. Dan Souder took the race lead early in the $1,000 to win main event. Souder had his hands full in lap traffic as Logan Rumsey lurked in the second spot in Souder tail in the thick of the lap traffic before a yellow flag settled the race for the lead.
Souder took off on open race track to see the checkered flag first over Logan Rumsey, Tyler Brehm, Dylan Martin, and Jesse Maurer.
Prelim event winners were Tyler Henry, Tyler Brehm, Logan Rhoad, Ben Houtz, Brian Kramer, Dan Souder, and Logan Rumsey. Shjon Dove won the consolation event.
Trent Yoder was the HB Steele and Son Hard Charger.
Souder is eligible for the Kenny Groff Trucking bonus if he can win both 600 Micro Sprint feature races.

The 270 Micro Sprint winner from Friday night locked into the event for Saturday. Pat Bealer left no doubt that he would be the driver to take the opportunity.
Bealer led a the early laps in the 270 Micro Sprint feature. Ross Perchak and Mike Boyer battled hard for the second spot while Bealer drove to the checkered flag by 1.5 seconds over Perchak, Boyer, Toby Blumenshine, and Dakota Barlet.
Dakota Barlet, Mike Boyer, and Brandon Heist were the heat winners and Corey Schmuck won the consolation.
Two of the young guns battled in the NSS Property Services Modifieds Friday night. Riley Hummel and Ty Hoke battled for much of the event until the checkered flag flew for Hummel. Taking his second win at Linda’s Speedway. Hoke settled for second followed by former 2021 winners Eric Whitby and Tyler Bartik. Kenny Harris rounded out the top five finishers.
Modified heat race winners were Josh Bewely, Riley Hummel, and Kenny Harris. Eric Hollenbach won the consolation event.
This was the first of two days of racing this weekend at the speedway. Racing will continue on Saturday with day two of the Richie Hartman promotions event.
The track returns to action on Saturday with day two! The Wingless 600 Micro Sprints and 125 Micro Sprints will join the 270 Micro Sprints and Modifieds. The Wingless 600 and 270 Micro Sprints will both race for $1,000 to win using the passing point format with heat races and qualifiers to set the feature field and consolation races. If a driver is able to sweep the weekend and win both 600 Micro Sprint feature races, they will receive a bonus from Kenny Groff from Stinger Race Fuels. It’s a $500 bonus if a 600 driver can win both winged and wingless features.
The 600 Micro Sprint race will pay $300 for fifth and $85 to take the green flag. The car entry for the 600 Micro Sprints on Saturday night will be $50. Saturday will be an open tire rule for the 600 Micro Sprints. The Spec tire rule will not be in effect for this race. The Linda’s Speedway 8 Inch front bumper rule will be in effect for this event. The 270 Micro Sprint race paying $1,000 to the winner will pay $300 for fifth and $85 to take the green flag. The car entry for the 270 Micro Sprints on Saturday night will be $50. The Modifieds and 125 Micro Sprints will compete in a format featuring heat races, consolations, and feature events. Car entry will be $20 for both classes on Saturday night. Saturday time are one hour earlier with Gates opening at 4 with hot laps starting at 6 and racing to follow. Pit Admission will be $30. Grandstand Admission will be $5 for this event.
Reserved Pit Parking spaces will be held for this event.
