The first five for five race of the season went into the book at Linda’s Speedway on April 16th. Five divisions of racing for five dollars saw wins go to Joey Amantea, Pete Skias, Justin Harrington, Christian Donati and Ed Hollenbach.
Heartbreak was the theme of the Mt Gretna Roller Rink 270 Micro Sprint feature event. Pete Skias wrecked last Saturday night at Lanco while leading. His heart ache was turned around Friday when he took his second win of the season making him two for two in victory lane. He took the race lead in the final corner when Richie Hartman’s car slowed after leading the first 24 laps of the feature event. Brandon Heist took second from eighth challenging for the win. Mike Boyer recovered from breaking in the heat race to come from 20th to finish third.
Ben Stolz and Scott Gingrich were the top five finishers. Hartman crossed in sixth.
270 Micro Sprint heat race wins went to Nate Gibble and Brandon Heist.
Dakota Barlet showed the way early in the Hoosier Tire/Hyper Racing 600 Micro Sprints. Barlet looked poised to win his first 600 Micro Sprint feature event at the speedway, but a late race yellow set up a big race for the lead. Ryan Kunkle and Joey Amantea were on Barlet’s tail. Kunkle made an attempt to go by, but then Amantea was able to make the move to second from his eighth place starting spot. The next lap Amantea and Barlet began trading slide job before Amantea secured the top spot. Amantea led the closing laps on his first Linda’s Speedway win. Barlet finished second followed by Kunkle. Brandon Heist was fourth and Matt Warner rounded out the top five.
Wingless 600 Micro Sprint heat races were won by Tommy Kunsman and Joey Amantea.
Christian Donati used a good starting spot to start his 2021 season with a victory in the NSS Property Services Modifieds. Ty Hoke finished second from 17th starting spot. Kenny Harris rounded out the podium in third spot. Sam Scicchitano was fourth followed by Riley Hummel.
Modified heat race wins went to Austin Daniels and Riley Hummel.
Justin Harrinton took the lead from Sara Borror on lap four of Friday nights 125 Micro Sprint feature event. Once Harrington was in the front of the field, he never gave up the top spot. Harrington held off Matt Fernsler and Holden Eckman. Michael Hoffmaster and Dylan Yeingst were the rest of the top five finishers.

The defending champion of the Appalachian Auto LLC Chargers was back in victory lane on opening night. Ed Hollenbach took spot one at the track of the green flag and led all 15 laps. Jeremy Ott and Chucky Kimmel closed in on Hollenbach in the closing laps but settled for second and third. Troy Hostetter was fourth followed by Sam Yeagley.
Dale Kreiser and Sam Yeagley won the Charger heat races.
Next Friday the Time Trial Series returns for the 270 Micro Sprints along with the Winged 600 Micro Sprints Chargers and the Xcel 600 Modifieds will be competing in a tour event.
