Logan Rhoads wins the Big One for the 125 Micro Sprints

It was “The Big One” for the Mongoose Chassis 125 Micro Sprints on Friday night at Linda’s Speedway. The race paid $1,000 to win. It was a “big one” for Logan Rhoads who saw the checkered flag first holding off all the heavy hitters for the biggest win of his career. Rhoads led the entire race. Austin Graby made the move for second late in the event and settled there. Zach Hollinger rounded out the top three finishers. 305 Sprint Car driver Dave Grube was a guest driver and wound up in fourth followed by the driver that won both the big paying events in 2019 at the speedway Cliff Brian Jr.

Aj Gerhart, Justin Harrington, and Brent Shearer were heat race winner while Zach Young captured the consolation race.

Brian Heist has been at Linda’s Speedway racing in a Micro Sprint for many years. It was Friday night that he found the quickest way around the track on his way to his first win in the Mt Grenta Roller Rink sponsored 270 Micro Sprints. Heist held off Mike Boyer, Pat Bealer, Mike Rutherford, and Ben Stolz to win.

Pete Skias and Mike Boyer took the 270 Micro Sprint heat race wins.

Jesse Snyder is known for his wing building business. It was ironic that he was the driver in victory lane after the wingless 600 Micro Sprint main event. Snyder led all of the Hoosier Tire MA/ Hyper Racing sponsored feature race. Fred Heinly stayed within striking distance, but never got by Snyder. Matt Warner tallied a career best third place finish trailed by Dylan Shatzer and Mike Thompson.

Jeremy Harshman and Dylan Shatzer were 600 Micro Sprint heat winners.

Defending Slingshot champion Dave Carraghan wasted not time jumping into the race lead of the Slingshot feature event at Linda’s Speedway on Friday Night. Carraghan kept his distance from second place Justin Thompson all the way to the checkered flag. Thompson was second followed by Tyler Hoch, Brett Bieber, and Ronnie Spitler.

Bieber and Tim Roeder were heat race winners for the Slingshots.

Chaz Buchinksy is on a roll in the MGS Trailer Sales 600 Modifieds. Buchinsky made a mid-race pass of the battle for the lead between Jeromy Guistwite and Ty Hoke before leading the rest of event. Buchinsky’s win came ahead of Guistwite, Hoke, Kenny Harris, and Modified hot shoe Joe Toth.

Eric Hollenbach, Mike Thompson, and Chaz Buchinsky were Modified heat race winners.
