Swift & Hoke First Time Winners while Kunsman/Spitler Repeat
Alex Swift has chased a checkered flag all year at Linda’s Speedway in the time trial series events. Friday night he finally was able to grab that checkered flag. Pat Bealer was the early race leader, but had an issue on lap 20. Swift was in position to take over the lead and led the remaining laps of Fall Brawl 2019 to win over Ross Perchak, Scott Gingrich, Sean McAndrew, and Jason Swavely.
Bealer, Swift, and Brandon Heist were heat race winners. Shea Wills won the B Main. Scott Gingrich set quick time.
Tommy Kunsman had a little bit more pressure than previous years going into the final night of point racing at Linda’s Speedway in the Hoosier Tire/ Hyper Racing. Kunsman was unshaken for much of the night racing to the win and the championship. Ryan Groff left it all on the line coming home in second in both the feature and title hunt. Dakota Barlet, Johnny Smith, and Ben Ernst were the top five finishers.

Ty Hoke had a strong start to the season in the MGS Trailer Sales Modifieds, but as the season progressed his luck turned sour. Hoke looked to end the season on a high note and he did just that making a mid-race pass of Brian Blankenbiller for his first career win in the Modifieds at Linda’s Speedway. Blankenbiller finished second ahead of Sam Scicchitano, Eric Whitby, and Jeff Sechrist.
Joe Carter and Corey Sechrist finished first in the heat races for the Modifieds.
Ronnie Spitler closed out his best season to date in the Slingshots Friday night. Spitler was the leading feature winner in 2019 and added another notch on Friday to close the point paying season for the Slingshots. Ronnie’s son Brett was second for a Spitler team sweep of the top two positions. Justin Thompson finished third. Dave Carraghan was fourth and that finish was enough to clinch his second championship in a row. Tyler Ulsh finished fifth.
Austin Webster and Chuck Whary took checkered flags in Slingshot heat races.
