Little Linda’s Speedway opened the 2019 racing season with the “Knight Before” the King of the Wing on May 9. The King of the Wing is a 270 Micro Sprint event held for the Time Trial Series on May 10.
The Kings Court of two thousand and nineteen is Chase Schott, Courtney Wolf, and Anthony Speece. Five cars entered into the opening night Novice feature event with Mason Glass leading the first half of the race before giving up the top spot to Courtney Wolf. Wolf lead the rest of the way on her way to her first Little Linda’s Speedway win. Glass finished in second followed by Daron Reppert. Aiden Willingham and Riley Shaffer rounded out the top five finishers. Wolf also won the heat race. Nine cars came to the green flag in the Jr Honda main event being led by Anthony Speece. Speece led all 15 laps to take the checkered flag over seventh place starter Courtney Wolf and Jacob Cannaday. Cadin Smith was fourth followed by Brianna Snyder. Sixth went to Jase Smith followed by Brayden Natale, Kayla Glass, and Mason Glass. Heat race winners were Jase Smith and Brayden Natale. In the first race for the Jr Animal in Little Linda’s Speedway history it was Chase Schott shining leading every lap of the feature event and taking the checkered flag. Schott took the win over Jase Smith, Anthony Speece, and Brianna Snyder. Schott also won the heat race. Chase Schott led pole setter Karter Kunsman from lap one in the Sr Honda feature event. Kunsman had a chance in a one lap shootout before Schott took the win. Kunsman and Aiden Lutz were the top three. Michael Zehring, Brayden Natale, and Kayla Glass rounded out the field finish. Schott won the heat race for the Sr Honda. Chase Schott fended off race long challenges from Colton Williams in the 160 feature event for the victory. Williams finished second with Kaydance Rote rounding out the podium finishers. Karter Kunsman was fourth ahead of Alyssa Holmes, Dylan Holmes, and William Buckshot. Schott win the 160 heat race. The next race at Little Linda’s Speedway will be held on Tuesday May 21. The World Formula will open their season along with the Novice, Jr and Sr Honda, and 160 classes. Registration will be $20 for the first car and $10 for a second car. A crew charge will be assessed at $15 a trailer. There is no membership cost or hidden fee’s.
