Buckwalter top in Speedstrs; Settle first time Legend Winner

Briggs Danner led the early stages of the Speedstr feature event with Tim Buckwalter in chase. Buckwalter continued pressure until he and Danner got into lap traffic. Buckwalter made a three wide move into the top spot with Danner and a lap car on lap ten. Once in the front, Buckwalter never looked back scoring a win in the only Speedstr race of the season at Linda's Speedway. Matt Westfall was second followed by Pat Bealer, Danner, and Kevin Graver Jr. Tyler Ross was sixth with TJ Mayberry, Phil Meisner, Jason Miller, and Justin Thompson chasing in the top ten. Heat races for the Speedstrs were won by Briggs Danner and Pat Bealer. A big accident on opening lap of the Hoosier Tire Wingless 600 Micro Sprint changed the starting line up dramatically. From that line up came a fantastic battle between Ryan Greth and Tommy Kunsman. Kunsman finally took command for good on lap 14 over Greth. Kunsman led the rest of the way to take the win over Greth, Pat Bealer, Dakota Barlet and BJ Antonio. Jacob Severn finished in sixth followed by 24th place starter Joey Amantea. Kenny Miller, Tim Henry, and Steve Whary were the top ten. Wingless 600 Micro Sprint heat race checkered flags went to Ryan Greth, Jay Hartman, and Alex Bright. Tim Henry won the consolation. Reese Nowotarski dominated the feature event for the Slingshots in the second race of the chase. Nowotarski led 19 of the 20 scheduled laps before losing a chain. Dave Carraghan passed Nowostaski coming to the checkered flag. Tim Roeder, Brett Bieber, Chuck Whary, and Justin Thompson also got passed the former race leader to finish in the top five. Taylor Schoenly was sixth with Nowotarski, Blaire Schoenly, Zachary Steffy, and Marvin Moyer were the top ten. Dave Carraghan and Reese Nowotarski won heat races for the Slingshots. Zachary Settle fended off the challenges of Chris McKinney, Dan Morris, Jeremy Ott, and Travis McClelland in lap traffic in the final Central Pa Legend race of the 2018 season at Linda's Speedway. Settle has no easy task, but was up to the challenge. Blaine Leppo, Alex Schmiedel, Mason Chaney, Tim O'Sheehan, and Bill Diehl were the top ten finishers. Legend Car heat winners for Friday night were Travis McClelland and Chris McKinney.
