May 18 Racing Rained Out
Linda’s Speedway has canceled the racing program for Friday May 18 due to wet conditions at the speedway and predicted rain. Speedway officials hoped the grounds would be “solid” after the nights, but Friday morning this was not the case.
Racing resumes next Friday, May 25, with the annual Jonestown Throwdown for the 4 cyl stock cars. This event was always a non point event for the Chargers, but in 2018 it will be an open 4 cyl race allowing the front wheel drive cars to compete. The rules will be the same as the open race at the end of 2017. The car must have a roll cage, no racing fuel with pump gas only (Must have a fuel cell), and no racing tires.
Joining the big stock car event will be the 270 and Wingless 600 Micro Sprints and the Modifieds. Gates open at 5 with practice at 7. Admission to the grandstands will be $6 for adults. Pit Admission is $25. For more information you can visit LindasSpeedway.com or call the speedway hotline at (717) 865-5330.
