Spence, Firestine, and Kresier first time May 4th winners

Brandon Firestine has shown the speed needed to be a winner in the Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel 270 Micro Sprints this season. He had not gotten to victory lane until Friday night. Firestine dominated Friday nights feature event leading each lap from his pole position. Tommy Kunsman won out in a battle with Scott Gingrich for second spot. Devin Harron charged from the tail of the field to finish fourth followed by Zach Hollinger.

Pat Bealer, Mason Peters, Morgan Rochelle, Nate Gibble, and Brian Sholly were the first ten across the line.

Heat winners for the 270 Micro Sprint were Pat Bealer and Mason Peters.

Kyle Spence made a mid-race pass of early race leader Steve Whary to take control of the Hoosier Tire Wingless 600 Micro Sprint feature event Friday night. Spence lead the rest of the way to grab his first win of 2018. Whary ended up second. Tommy Kunsman was third with Austin Quick and Josh Bewley making up the top five.

Dave Carraghan has been on a different level than everyone else this season in the Slingshots. It looks like the race to the chase that will lead to the chase to the championship a little later this season will be dominated by the number three car. Carraghan remained perfect in feature events on Friday night with his third win of the season. Dylan Hoch pulled into second early in the event and pressured Carraghan, but to no avail. It’s not often we get to see Dale Kreiser climb back behind the wheel of a 4 cyl car at Linda’s Speedway. The all-time winningest Pro Stock driver in speedway history makes the occasional Charger start now a days. He did so Friday night and did so with triumph. Kreiser led every lap of the 15 lap feature event on his way to his first victory of the season over his teammate Troy Hostetter. Aaron Updegraff charged to a third place finish. Chris Smith and Josh Michael were the top five finishers.
