Rained Out May 12th- Make-Up Details Here
Racing was fast and furious at Linda's Speedway on Friday May 12th. The racing in the track was quick paced as the race to beat the weather moved to the back burner. Neither the races on the speedway, nor the race to beat the weather saw the checkered flag.
Heat races were completed and the feature for the 125 micro sprints was coming on to the Race Track when the skies let loose in the rain began to fall. Speedway officials made a decision about 15 minutes later to postpone the rest of the nights racing action.
In most cases the nights racing would be scrapped and restarted, but because almost all the qualifying was complete the races will be made up at a later date. Unfortunately, that voids any rain checks. Race fans that came to the speedway Friday night will receive a one dollar off admission to the grandstands over the next two races with their ticket from Friday.
No pit bands will be honored as the makeup races will be run.
Friday May 19 will be the first Make Up race for the Chargers. A consolation and a feature will be run prior to the nights regularly scheduled Twin 12 feature races.
Charger heat qualifiers went to Dale Kreiser, Jeremy Ott, and Aaron Updegraff.
The following Friday, May 26, the 600 Modified make up race will be held.
Modified qualifying race wins went to RJ Smith, Dylan McCrone, and Dave Ogin.
June 16 the 125 Micro Sprint feature will be made up.
Zach Hollinger won the Gutshall's Automotive 125 Micro Sprint heat race.
June 23 a Wingless 600 Micro Sprint consolation will be run along with the feature race from May 12.
Heat races for the Hoosier Tire Wingless 600 Micro Sprints were taken by Tommy Kunsman, Kenny Murray, and Steve Whary.
The 270 Micro Sprint Time Trial Series Dash and Feature will be run on June 30.
Heat race winners for the Jersey Joe's Boardwalk Cafe were won by Brian Marriott, Logan Diehl, and Ross Perchak. Nick Skias set fast time in the LuLaRoe by Rebekah Batz time trials.
A special thank you to the drivers, crews, and fans that came out to support the Speedway on Friday in the challenging weather conditions.
