Rained Out (2) May 6

For the second week in a row Linda’s Speedway falls to inclement weather. Rain for most of the week left the speedway grounds saturated and when rain began Friday the decision was made to cancel the racing program for the evening.

“I always want to race, but I really hate to lose the first race of the month and a special one like tonight,” said Linda Batz. Friday’s program was to host the third Iron Cowboy 30 for the Wingless 600 Micro Sprints as well as a full program for the American Racing Drivers Club Midgets. The 270 Micro Sprints and Slingshots were also on the card.

Linda’s Speedway will return to racing on Friday May 13 with another big one. The 270 Micro Sprint King of the Wing event. This is a non point time trial format for the 270 sprinters. There is going to be a change in the originally published format for this race. A new format will be released Friday evening. The 270 Micro Sprints will be joined by the Winged 600 Micro Sprints, Modifieds, and Chargers. Gates open at 5 with hot laps rolling off at 7:00.
