Linda’s Speedway suffered the first rain out of 2016 on April 29th. The race was to honor the builder and early promoter of the speedway Earman Fulk. It was also slated as the first race of the season for the Central Pa Legends Cars.
The Legends will return on June 3rd.
Rain for most of the day Thursday and much of the morning Friday simply made it to wet to race and predicted rain for the evening also played into the decision.
The Speedway will return to action on May 6th with the ARDC Midget/Sidewinder Challenge. An extra bonus will go to any Sidewinder (1000 cc Upright Chassis Sprint) driver that can win against the “mighty Midgets”. May 6th will also mark the running of the Iron Cowboy Race for the Wingless 600 Micro Sprints. The 270 Micro Sprints and Slingshots will also be in action. Gates open at 5 with racing at 7:30. Admission to the grandstands will be $8 for adults for this event.
